8/52 - Green and/or Strong

This week's photo assignment themes were "green" and/or "strong". Although, not what I had in mind when I first began to think about what I would photograph, I think the below picture of my brother fits the assignment perfectly. Obviously, he is surrounded by green. Check and done. (As a side note, what you can't see is that the "green" is actually a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles snuggie. Yep...you read that right.) Anyway, more important than the green in this photo, is the strength that I see. My brother has cerebral palsy. And in the past 10 years he has had to undergo more brain surgeries than I even care to count. And like the energizer bunny, he just keeps going. And amazingly, he keeps going without complaining. Through everything, he is just a lovable cheeseball with a huge heart. So there it is. My brother with his silly crooked grin and his ninja turtle snuggie = Green and Strong.
